STEP Cayman talk – Equity Trust PC decision
STEP Cayman were delighted to be joined by Shân Warnock-Smith KC and Andrew De La Rosa (both of International Chancery and Trust Chambers) last Thursday for a lecture considering the very recent Privy Council judgment in Equity Trust v Halabi (aka Z Trusts) which has clarified the rights of successive trustees to recover costs and expenses from an insolvent trust fund but has left us wondering whether our standard practice on a change of trusteeship needs to change.
