STEP Cayman First Step Scholarship 2022/2023

The STEP Cayman Islands Council launched its “First Step” scholarship programme in 2021 and is delighted to bring it back for a second year.

The programme was designed to facilitate an introduction to the fiduciary servicesindustry and will provide full funding for the STEP Entry Level Certificate.

The programme is open to Caymanians, Cayman status holders, or permanent residents of the Cayman Islands. It will be administered by CLT International London and consists of a series of online lessons focused on trust law and trust administration, concluding with a formal examination.

Robert Mack, Head of the Scholarship Sub-Committee, said

‘We’re delighted to extend the programme in 2022/23 and provide a new cohort of candidates with an incredible opportunity to gain career enhancing, professional qualifications – and receive industry and peer group recognition.’

The programme is now welcoming enquiries via email at firststepcayman@gmail.com

In addition to the residential criteria, applicants should ideally have a minimum of five ‘O’ Levels/GCSE’s (or equivalent) and three ‘A’ levels, with a passing grade in math and English, but all applications will be judged on their individual merits.

Applications will be sent by return email, and must be submitted by no later than Monday 21 November 2022.
